If pulled off correctly moving .gifs can be very dynamic on your website. In this guide I will be showing you how to make a simple moving .gif like the one below using Adobe Photoshop CS5.

1. Create a layer for each frame

2. navigate to Window > Animation

3. The Animation Window should appear

4. Click the Duplicate Button (Square Folded Pad) to create your frames

5. Click on each frame and edit your layers accordingly

6. You should now have a basic but very quick animation

7. Right click each frame and set a time delay

8. Once finished go to File > Save for Web & Devices

9. A Pop-up Window should appear make sure to select GIF as the file type and then Save

your moving .gif should now be complete and ready to be placed on your website
